The Story Behind Our Boutique Jackets

This season, our boutique collection features a range of dazzling embroidered jackets, and each has its own fascinating story to tell. We spoke to our Head of Design to give you the detail behind our boutique jackets.

We are often inspired by the fabrics and designs we come across on our travels, and our boutique jackets are no exception.

An evolution of the best-selling Wings Stretch Canvas Jacket, the chinoiserrie design on our Boutique Tree Of Life Embroidered Stretch Denim Jacket was inspired by a jacket we found on a trip to Ibiza.

Whilst this jacket had an extravagant look, we re-imagined ours into a more wearable piece that's perfect for casual styling.

When creating the extraordinary embroidery on the back of the jacket, we found ourselves inspired by the hand-painted prints on our chinoiserrie bedding.

We traced the beautiful artwork, and then completed the embroidery with silver lurex thread and metallic studs, for a design that shimmers and dazzles.

What makes this jacket truly unique is the detail in the denim. Made from soft stretched denim, with added elastane for extra comfort, this boutique piece is not only durable, but comfortable too.

We've given it a mid-wash and blasted it on the front to bring an edgy lived-in feel. Detail on the pockets adds to the luxury of the look.

For an outfit you can wear all through the summer, pull the jacket on over a flowy boho dress. This is a look that'll take you from garden parties to holidays in the sun.

A standout combination of khaki and camo, our Boutique Blossom Embroidered Cotton Jacket took inspiration from both classic military and army camo styles.

The incredible floral embroidery on the back was influenced by an original Japanese kimono, which was intricately embellished with a pink and white flower design.

The fusion of these inspirations creates a rebellious, edgy aesthetic with a touch of femininity.

We wanted this jacket to feel like something you might've picked up at a thrift store. So, we gave it a garment wash, for that worn, lived-in look, and a raw-edged trim to give it some soul!

There are pops of pink and purple in the embroidery to soften the grungy look.

Whilst the embroidery on the back is what makes the jacket so special, we wanted to leave room for you to make it your own. The front is simple, so you can add your own embellishments like patches or sew-on badges. 

With its lightweight fabric, this cotton jacket is great for casual spring styling.

Lean into that rebellious edge by throwing it on over a pair of black or dark wash jeans and a black blouse or t-shirt. Complete the 'devil-may-care' look with some chunky boots or trainers.
